so last night i went to bed around 12 and i was dead tired with a bad headache, so i took about 3 ib profen for my head. and i layed down, my desk is right next to my bed and i have my cell phone cord and ipod charger cord right next to me sitting on my desk and i was laying facing all of that, and i closed my eyes and when i opened them back up, i swear to everything i saw a little leprechaun or little tiny person holding onto my ipod cord then it jumped off when i looked at it then like 2 minutes later i saw something like zoom across the desk..it was freaky and it freaked me out lol. i dont believe in leperchauns and i wasnt high on drugs i dont do drugs but i was very tired and i did take 3 ib profen. and that seemed so freaking real.

I would say yes, it was a hallucination, probably due to the medication and sleepiness. It sounds like you were maybe in a partial sleep state, that is, not fully awake, not fully asleep, somewhere in between. It’s a lot more common than you might think.

How can I get Ringtagz off my phone?
I want to stop using the service and get rid of the ring tag that’s on my phone. Why is positive attracted to negative?
I’m trying to understand chemistry at the deepest possible level. So I’m wondering, what governs the rules of chemistry? Does this branch off into the physics realm? Or are there any known explanations for these attractions? Making a cupcake look like a cupcake… & icing recipes?
So I’m making cupcakes for superbowl sunday. Going to a neighbors party.
I can never actually make cupcakes that are like rounded at the top.
I know i can do the icing so it looks like there is a round top, but is there any way to get an actual, round top?

also, do you have any icing recipes?

And how do i make black icing with bluue red yellow and blue food dye, possible or not? lol

Fill the cupcake pans 3/4ths full or fuller for rounded tops. If you use less in the cupcake holder, they will be straight across because the batter being near the top and the extra heat gives it it’s roundness.

It’s very very difficult to make black frosting. They sell at the Wilton’s supply stores (Michael’s/JCPenneys, etc.) food coloring that isn’t water based. You may be able to find black there. By mixing red/blue/yellow, etc. you wind up with a funny brown-gray but not black.

Cream cheese frosting: combine a box of powdered sugar, a stick of softened sweet butter, a 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened (block not whipped), 2 teaspoons of vanilla, butter or rum flavoring in a food processor and blend. Scrape down the sides and blend. Really great and easy frosting.

An easy way to make your icing look nice is to scoop it all into a large ziplock bag, and then press the air out of the bag before you seal it. Once the bag is sealed, squish the frosting towards one corner of the bag, and then snip off the tip of the corner. Pipe the icing onto the cupcake in a circular pattern (starting on the outside edge, going in a spiral towards the middle). It’s easy to get that cute swirl on top and it looks really nice!

What should I do about my Science teacher?
I am just SICK of him!! Here is what he did;

Yesterday :
1.) I was sitting at my table, listening to him. My friends at the table were talking and he was like "Sabrina, be quiet and pay attention."
2.) We were in the hallway and the girl from my table was yelling at me and making fun of me (no reason) and I was writing something on a piece of paper on a locker. Science teacher came out and all serious said "Sabrina!! You seriously need to calm down and be quiet. There are classes going on. If you can’t handle it, you can come back in the room" all of my people from my class (even from down another hall) said they didn’t even hear me!!!

Today :
1.) My friend was talking to me and I was clearly look at me and he just said "Sabrina quit talking" My friend was like "Wait, did you just get in trouble?????" And she couldn’t believe it!!

What am I going to do?! I don’t talk and I hate being called out in class!! I don’t get it! What could he possibly have against me?? I do my work, idk!!

Dear Abi,

I have this great saying I really like – "It’s hard to remember when you are up to your butt in alligators, that the object was merely to drain the swamp". In other words, sometimes, things get pretty confusing.

Probably, he did not realize it was not you, but since he is a teacher, and responsible for teaching all of you, and making sure you get decent grades, and keeping order in the classroom, and pressured to write lesson plans ahead of class, and pressured to deliver them in so many minutes, and pressured to answer all sorts of questions from students, in class, well, he might not have realized who was doing what, even if he thought he knew. It’s called being human.

Your humanity was affected, because nobody likes being called out in class etc.

So, here is my suggestion, Next time you see him (arriving early before class so you can make sure to catch a minute with him), try just asking nicely, if you and he could make an appointment to sit down and talk about ‘what happened the other day’ please. If he doesn’t remember, say something like, you know, the talking thing – or words to that effect.

This will give him the time to jog his memory, mentally review the incident, and figure out a time to meet with you, other than in class, so the two of you can talk uninterrupted. It will also give him time to destress, and that is good because it is very difficult to discuss something with somebody who is stressed out. This way, you get to present your grievance in an adult manner, and if he is any sort of a teacher, he will probably be pretty impressed with you.

One thing to mention – when we are ‘assertive’ rather than aggresive, we do have a 50-50 chance of achieving what we want. Conversely, we have the same chance of ‘not’ achieving it, though hopefully, this will not occur. If it does happen, hold your head high, be proud of your effort, and avoid, like the plague the urge to badmouth him all over school, cause guess who that will come back on? Similarly, if you win a point or two, avoid like the plague, the urge to broadcast that ‘I won’ all over school, cause that will make him feel embarassed, and guess who that will come back on LOL? You guessed it, broadcasting it will come back on you, no matter which way the thing works out.

What you can say is that "Mr. so-and-so and I had a mature discussion, and came to a mutually beneficial conclusion (or similar words). That will leave everybody guessing about what the outcome of a private conversation was, but you protect him by not disclosing his foibles, and he protects you by being more observant in class. See the benefit? Your capital goes up a notch or two in the eyes of him and his colleagues (yes – teachers do discus things about students between themselves – that is why staffrooms were invented LOL)

Be sure to listen, and not to get all angry, and to tell him simply, what really happened. But, if you play the blame game and go tearing into him, and say ‘you’ did this etc, you will miss a good chance to connect with your teacher. You could say things like I felt hurt when you scolded me for talking, because I was paying attention – it wasn’t me who was making the noise etc. When he asks who was, say "you would rather not say". It is no good to say you don’t know, because obviously, you do know, and then you would be in trouble for lying. In the end, it is up to him to ask the other students (if he wishes to) if they were talking, and you didn’t have to tell on them.

The other students (the ones who supported you) in the class may not have been fully awareof the entire situation, and while there is some camaraderie amongst class members, it does you no good if they ‘fuel your fire’ and agree with everything you say, out of loyalty, because they were not the one in the hot seat, and so really, were not involved.

What really counts is how you feel, and more importantly, how you express yourself to your teacher, so the two of you can rebuild this minor incident into something successful – right?

How you handle this problem today will help prepare you for the years of study and employment ahead. We may not always understand or think that what transpires is fair, but if we make our absolute best effort to resolve those differences amicably, we stand the best chance of getting ahead and being respected.
